EFCC Acknowledges Arrest of Two Suspected Internet Fraudsters at Skale’s Residence in Alleged Dating Scam; Suspects Cite the Singer as Their ‘Mentor'”
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), operating under the Lagos Command, has successfully apprehended two individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud. The arrest took place at the private residence of renowned Nigerian singer, John Njeng Njeng, widely recognized as Skales. The EFCC’s diligent operatives carried out the arrest, marking a significant step in combating cybercrime within the region.
Shortly after the musician claimed that EFCC agents had unlawfully entered his residence, the arrest of the suspected fraudsters occurred.
In an official statement, the anti-graft commission revealed that the apprehended individuals were taken into custody on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the residence of the musician, situated at House F10, Victoria Crest 4, Lekki, Lagos. According to the commission, the suspects asserted that Skales served as their mentor.
