Nigeria clinches the second position in the 13th African Games, securing a total of 120 medals.

Nigeria secured the second position at the 13th African Games by amassing a total of 47 gold, 33 silver, and 40 bronze medals across 25 sporting events.

The nation achieved its highest medal count in weightlifting, with the team earning 32 medals—16 gold, 10 silver, and six bronze. Additionally, Nigeria excelled in athletics, securing 22 medals.

Notably, the country also claimed 12 medals in wrestling, eight gold medals in boxing, and 13 medals in arm wrestling. Egypt clinched the top spot with 189 medals, including 101 gold, 46 silver, and 42 bronze, while South Africa secured the third position with 106 medals—32 gold, 32 silver, and 42 bronze.
