The EFCC has refuted allegations of a raid on singer Skales’ residence, urging him to present proof to support his claims. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission refutes singer Skales’ claim of a raid by its operatives at his home early this morning, October 10th.

On Tuesday morning, the artist claimed that certain EFCC officers had entered his residence armed with guns and hammers.

Nevertheless, in a conversation with Punch, Dele Oyewale, the spokesperson for EFCC, debunked these allegations, emphasizing that the anti-graft agency’s officials do not conduct operations in that method.
“Number 1, we don’t invade.

Number 2, we don’t conduct any raids.

Number 3, there are ways and rules to identify a regular EFCC operative.

So, to all intents and purposes, all of his claims, they are totally removed from what an EFCC operation looks like.”

Oyewale also pointed out that this incident could potentially be an accusation, suggesting that the intruders might be individuals impersonating EFCC officials.

Oyewale further said.” People can make allegations but the authenticity of the allegation viz a viz the reality on the ground concerning any organization you’re talking about is important.

There are impersonations all around, all over the place. So, they are not. We are very polite. We don’t do all those things.”

He also urged the singer to provide proof for his allegations.

He also said; And I will want him to come forward, if he has photo evidence or video evidence, to show that’s it’s an EFCC thing, because we don’t have such things.”
