Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Administration in Lagos State Takes Firm Action Against Noise Pollution: Churches, Event Centers, and Various Establishments Sealed in Lagos Island, Ojudu, Ogba, Magodo, and Ikosi Areas.

The images shared on X platform (formerly Twitter) by the office of Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, reveal that among the impacted venues are New Jerusalem Ark of God International Church and Yplus Event Centre.

The closure of these venues was executed by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA). The agency emphasized the importance of enforcing prescribed sound levels in various establishments, such as religious centers, nightclubs, bars, and event centers, as a strategy to combat noise pollution.

Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) officials recently carried out an enforcement operation, leading to the closure and sealing of particular establishments in locations like Lagos Island, Ojudu, Ogba, Magodo, and Ikosi, all due to noise pollution concerns.

The reporter stated; “Let’s Stand United Against Noise Pollution! To combat noise pollution, LASEPA advocates strict adherence to the recommended sound levels in establishments, including religious centers, nightclubs, bars, and events center.”
