The video, recorded by Palestinian journalist Hani Aburezeq, was shot at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza on Monday, October 9th.
As per accounts, the woman was assisting Palestinian patients injured in Israeli airstrikes when she learned of her husband’s passing within the hospital premises.
Her cry of anguish echoes through the air, ‘My husband was martyred,’ as another woman holds her in a comforting embrace.
It stands as one of the most heartbreaking videos to surface online since the Israeli army commenced its attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Complete neighborhoods have been obliterated, and residential structures have been reduced to mere debris. Israel’s retaliation followed a surprise attack by Hamas militants on Saturday, during which they kidnapped and killed hundreds of civilians.
Since Saturday, over 700 Palestinians in Gaza have lost their lives, with a heartbreaking 91 of them being innocent children, as reported by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
