A University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) Calabar campus recent graduate named Confidence Ogar Enya, who was in her twenties, tragically passed away in a car accident just two weeks after completing her final exams. She had graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering on September 28, 2023.
The Ikom native was reportedly on her way from her hometown to Calabar when her vehicle was involved in an accident along the Calabar-Ikom highway, near the Northwest fuel station in Odukpani Local Government Area, just a short distance from Scanobo Junction.
This unfortunate incident occurred on Monday, October 16, 2023, at approximately 7 pm.
On September 28, she had shared her post-graduation celebration on Facebook.
“God did it… Thank you, Jesus, it wasn’t easy. #B.Eng Civil Engineering,” she wrote.
In the meantime, friends, coworkers, fellow students, and many others have expressed their deep sorrow and condolences on social media in response to this unexpected tragedy.
