In the UK, law enforcement authorities closed a roadway for an extended 31-hour period following a walker’s discovery of what initially appeared to be a ‘corpse in a wooded area. Subsequently, it was determined to be a ‘worn and heavily used’ sex doll that had been discarded.
In Kineton, Warwickshire, this ‘incident site’ was secured by the police, who then enlisted the services of a forensic pathologist to probe the matter. This was prompted by the initial sighting of what seemed to be a hand and a foot concealed in the undergrowth along a rural lane.
The police subsequently revealed that what they initially believed to be the body of a woman was, in fact, not human remains, but rather a ‘realistic’ inflatable adult novelty item, potentially valued at up to £1,500.
A local informant shared with us: The police thought they had a murder investigation on their hands so called in a forensics team.’
‘When they finally dragged the ‘corpse’ out they realised the blunder. The officers had a big laugh about it. It was a very dirty, broken and overused sex doll,’ they added.
Authorities were reportedly searching for evidence from noon on Tuesday until 7 p.m. the following day.
Warwickshire Police stated that they had followed the proper procedure.
A representative further stated, “We are relieved to announce that the pathologist successfully confirmed that the hand and foot found under the bush were indeed part of a discarded and lifelike full-sized doll.”
There was speculation that the sex doll had been deliberately positioned in the woods as a practical prank.
