On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, President Bola Tinubu will travel from Abuja to Dakar, Senegal, to attend the inauguration of Senegal’s President-elect, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
The President’s visit comes at the invitation of the Republic of Senegal.
According to a statement from presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu, who serves as the Chairman of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, will join other regional leaders in witnessing the inauguration at the Diamniadio Exhibition Centre on Tuesday.
The President will be joined on the journey by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, as well as other senior government officials.
Upon the completion of the inauguration, the President is anticipated to return to Nigeria.
