The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is currently in talks with Jose Peseiro regarding a potential new contract.

Reports suggest that the NFF has proposed to maintain Peseiro’s monthly salary at €50,000, the same amount he was earning prior to guiding the Super Eagles to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Peseiro had previously agreed to a salary reduction from $70,000 to $50,000 in order to lead the team to the tournament.

Following the conclusion of the AFCON 2023 finals, the 63-year-old’s previous contract expired.

Since then, Peseiro has attracted interest from various national teams and clubs, with the Algerian Football Federation reportedly showing significant interest.

Peseiro stated that he has received offers from at least seven different parties and will make a decision about his future in the coming days.
