Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir, is displeased with the management of the Ramadan feeding program, expressing frustration over the substandard quality of food served to needy residents of the state

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has criticized the standard of food distributed to the state’s residents through the Ramadan Feeding program.

The governor allocated N6 billion from the state budget to provide food for underprivileged residents across the 44 local government areas during the fasting period of Ramadan.

A video circulating on social media captures the governor expressing his disappointment at the subpar meals provided to residents. Some portions appeared meager, and some individuals were served rice without any accompanying protein.

According to a statement from his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor voiced his dismay during an unplanned visit to a feeding center in Gidan Maza, Municipal Local Government Area.

The governor stated, “We will not tolerate dishonesty and mismanagement of public resources.”

His spontaneous inspection was prompted by intelligence reports indicating deficiencies in the management of the feeding program at various centers throughout the metropolis.
