Jaywon, a Nigerian singer, deems it absurd for Burna Boy to assert that no one paved the way for him.

Nigerian singer Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, popularly known as Jaywon, expressed his views on artists who claim that no one paved the way for them during his appearance on the Teju Babyface podcast, focusing particularly on Burna Boy.

He remarked, “Burna is undeniably talented in every aspect, but when it comes to his attitude, it’s akin to him stating ‘nobody paved the way for me.’

How could you make such a claim? It’s utterly misguided.

You fail to grasp the significance. It’s absurd.

” He further elaborated, “By saying that, you’re essentially implying that no one has ever inspired you from your childhood up to this point.”

Jaywon also utilized his platform on Twitter and Instagram to convey:

“Acknowledging those who paved the way before you won’t diminish your own accomplishments.

It won’t hinder your journey to greatness.

If you understand, then you understand!”

Jaywon’s interview follows statements made by Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck and singer Burna Boy, in which they claimed that no one had paved the way for them.
