FG threatens to arrest individuals with fake degrees.

Education Minister Tahir Mamman announced that security agencies would soon target individuals holding fake university certificates in the country.

Speaking at the inaugural quarterly citizens and stakeholders’ engagement in Nigeria’s education sector in Abuja on Tuesday, April 2, Mamman assured Nigerians of significant changes in the education sector with the introduction of a 13-pillar roadmap.

Furthermore, Mamman emphasized the importance of meticulous planning in the education sector, particularly at the foundational level.

He highlighted the necessity of establishing a credible database to foster skill acquisition and development while minimizing the number of out-of-school children.

Mamman stated, “I have no sympathy for such individuals.

They are complicit in criminal activities and should face arrest. Our efforts will not be limited to Benin and Togo; we will expand our reach to countries like Uganda, Kenya, and even Niger, where such fraudulent institutions are operating.”
