The federal government now says no one under 18 can start college. Minister of Education, Tahir Mamman, made it official during a UTME monitoring exercise in Bwari.
He explained it’s to match the 6-3-3-4 education system. Mamman urged parents not to rush their kids into college, as some as young as 15 or 16 were trying to enter.
He’s concerned they might not grasp what university education entails at such a young age.
