Dan Yomi, a Nigerian LGBTQ activist residing in the UK, shared his elation following a recent conversation with his mother, who expressed acceptance of his identity as a gay man.

Yomi revealed that their relationship had been tense for five years after he came out.

He urged parents of LGBTQ children to embrace them unconditionally.

Formerly a youth pastor, Yomi publicly came out in October 2018.
