The FCT police have apprehended the second most wanted kidnapper, a significant development in law enforcement efforts.

MOST WANTED KIDNAPER

In an ongoing campaign against banditry within the FCT and its surrounding areas, FCT Police Command operatives, acting on reliable intelligence, conducted a raid on Sardauna Forest in Toto, Nasarawa State on February 24th around 7:05 PM.

During this operation, they successfully apprehended Samaila Wakili Fafa, also known as Habu Ibrahim, a notorious kidnapper who has long been sought by the Command and had a bounty placed on his head by the Honorable Minister of FCT.

The arrested individual is believed to be one of two kidnappers targeted by the Minister, with the other, Saidu Abdulkadir, also known as Dahiru Adamu, having been previously captured by the Command.

Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to orchestrating numerous kidnappings in the FCT and surrounding areas, including the abduction and subsequent killing of Barrister Chris Agidy, legal aid to Senator Ned Nwoko, and Mr. Sunday Yahaya Zakwai, the district head of Ketti Village.

Additionally, Samaila Wakili assisted police operatives in locating the remains of Barrister Chris Agidy, which were recovered and transferred to Gwagwalada General Hospital.

Confirming the arrest to the press, SP Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the Command, stated that investigations are ongoing.

Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to combating crime in all its forms and ensuring the safety of residents.
