Reports indicate that Bangladesh is now home to the world’s first mosque dedicated to female transgender individuals.
In a video shared by DW, transgender individuals who transitioned from male to female were shown participating in Muslim prayers at the mosque.
The land for the mosque was reportedly donated by the government.
Transgender Muslims expressed joy at this milestone, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to live and be laid to rest like everyone else.
