Bandits kills 23 in Kaduna.

Bandits launched an assault on Anguwar Danko village in Kaduna’s Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, resulting in the tragic loss of 23 lives. The attack occurred amidst reports of sporadic gunfire and the abduction of numerous residents.

The bandits operated with impunity in the area, situated near Dogon Dawa village. Yahaya Musa Dan Salio, the Kakangi Ward representative in the State House of Assembly, confirmed the grim incident, noting 23 fatalities and five injuries.

Some abducted villagers managed to escape into the bush during the chaos. Cattle were also stolen during the raid.

Alhassan Ibrahim Saulawa, Chief Press Secretary to the Interim Local Government Chairman of Birnin Gwari LGA, corroborated the toll, with over 20 casualties reported.

The Interim Chairman, Salisu Isah, visited the affected community to extend condolences and support to the victims and the injured.

The exact number of abducted individuals remains uncertain as many are still missing, having fled during the attack.
