Sources indicate that those closely associated with the billionaire entrepreneur are becoming increasingly worried about the potential impact of his drug usage on his behavior, which has exhibited signs of unpredictability in recent years.

The apprehension regarding the well-being of the tech magnate also encompasses the possible repercussions for his six enterprises, which include Tesla and SpaceX, according to sources cited by the Journal.

Alex Spiro, Musk’s attorney, stated that the CEO informed the Journal that he undergoes regular and unscheduled drug testing at SpaceX, consistently passing each test without any issues.

Musk’s public engagement with marijuana on the Joe Rogan show and his open discussion about his prescription for the psychedelic-like ketamine are well-known. Nevertheless, according to witnesses cited by the Journal, the X owner has reportedly used a range of substances, including LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms.

These instances typically occurred at exclusive private gatherings worldwide, where attendees are required to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and surrender their phones to prevent photography.

For instance, in 2018, Musk was reported to have taken multiple tabs of acid at a party he hosted in Los Angeles. The following year, he allegedly consumed magic mushrooms at an event in Mexico, and in 2021, he is said to have recreationally used ketamine with his brother at a house party in Miami.

The Journal has reported that the billionaire has engaged in drug use even alongside Steve Jurvetson, a current SpaceX board member and former Tesla board member.

Individuals in proximity to the 52-year-old are purportedly expressing heightened worries that the magnitude of his drug consumption may lead to a health crisis or pose a potential threat to his businesses.

Sources familiar with the matter disclosed that Linda Johnson Rice, a former Tesla director, grew increasingly alarmed by Musk’s drug use and became so exasperated with his behavior that she chose not to stand for re-election to the company’s board in 2019.
