Keke Palmer has made history as the first woman in 15 years to secure the Emmy for Best Game Show Host. Her outstanding achievement was marked by winning the Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Game Show for NBC’s Password, a category newly introduced to the primetime Emmys after transitioning from the daytime awards. In a competitive field, Palmer triumphed over esteemed hosts such as Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik from Jeopardy!, Steve Harvey from Family Feud, and Pat Sajak from Wheel of Fortune.

This groundbreaking win follows Meredith Vieira’s victory in 2009 for the syndicated run of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Steve Harvey claimed the award last year, with Alex Trebek securing the honor in the three preceding years.

Expressing her gratitude, Palmer remarked, ‘Wow. That is so exciting, thank you so much. I’m really just so thankful, I’m almost speechless. I want to thank the people who allowed this to happen, thank you to Jimmy Fallon, thank you to NBC.’ Palmer also took to Instagram to share her excitement and gratitude following her historic win.
