Today, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, The Super Falcons are set to confront Ethiopia in the second leg of the 2024 Paris Olympic qualifier’s second round.
In the first leg of the doubleheader last Wednesday, The Super Falcons had a 1-1 draw with Lucy, the Ethiopian women’s senior team, at the Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa.
Today, in Abuja, they aim to secure a victory with an eye on the winners of the Cameroon and Uganda match, as they progress toward the final round of the qualification series.
The Falcons did not succeed in securing a spot in the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympic editions in London, Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo, but they are eager to secure a place in the upcoming event in Paris next year.
