Vera Anyim, known for her testimony in Dunamis Church, urges Nigerians to lend a helping hand in her quest to secure new accommodation.

Vera Anyim, known for her recent controversial testimony at Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, has turned to Nigerians for assistance in finding stable accommodation.

In a video circulating on the internet since Thursday, Anyim made this plea.

Her testimony, initially met with skepticism by the church’s Senior Pastor, Paul Enenche, stirred considerable online debate. Enenche interrupted and raised doubts about the credibility of Anyim’s testimony during the church service.

The woman, who asserted she had obtained a “BSc in Law” from the National Open University of Nigeria, faced accusations of falsehood from the senior pastor.

He contested her claim, stating that her articulation did not match that of a law graduate, and refuted the existence of a degree titled “BSc in Law.”

This incident sparked diverse reactions on social media when it was confirmed that her testimony was authentic. Some demanded an apology from Enenche for his response, while others supported his position.

In a statement, the church extended an apology to Anyim, clarifying that the Senior Pastor’s actions were motivated by a commitment to upholding standards of excellence and integrity within the church.

Having recently returned from a sponsored vacation at Portland Resorts Hotel in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Anyim now seeks support from Nigerians to secure new accommodation.

Expressing concerns about her current living conditions, she reaches out to the public for assistance.

She states, “I want to convey to Nigerians that while this unexpected celebrity status brings me joy, I never anticipated it. It came suddenly, and I wasn’t prepared for it. I am using this opportunity to appeal for help in securing accommodation because I currently lack the financial means to rent a place. The place I’m staying in now is unsafe and insecure. It’s open and everyone knows I’m a celebrity now.”

Continuing, she explains, “When I left Abuja, many people in my compound were unaware of my situation. However, word has spread, and now there are people waiting for me. My brother, who resides with me, informed me that a crowd has gathered, anticipating my return.

Expressing her worries about potential misunderstandings, she fears that people may wrongly assume she received a large sum of money during her stay in Port Harcourt.

She clarifies, “That’s why I’m speaking up, seeking assistance to find a safe place to stay. Currently, I’m hiding myself to avoid any potential misconduct from others.”

Continuing, she pleads, “So, please, if there’s any way you can help me secure accommodation where I can feel safe as a human being, I would greatly appreciate it. Intelligent individuals understand my situation. I don’t want to move or stay in just any place. If you’re willing, your support would mean a lot to me. No gesture is too small.”
