In Umuahia, “one chance” robbers posing as tricycle operators narrowly escape a lynching.

In Umuahia, Abia State, two men accused of being “one chance” robbers narrowly escaped being lynched by an angry mob.

These individuals are believed to employ hypnotism or threats with sharp objects to steal from their victims, subsequently hacking their phones to withdraw money from banks.

The incident occurred beside the Golden Guinea Breweries along Aba road in the capital city of Abia.

After a passenger, purportedly a previous victim of their robbery, recognized them upon entering their tricycle, an alarm was raised.

This attracted a growing crowd, which comprised individuals who had been targeted by robbers in the past.

As the crowd swelled, the accused men purportedly confessed their crimes and pleaded for leniency.

Despite the angry mob’s threats to set them on fire, the timely intervention of several elders within the crowd prevented the men from facing such a grim fate.
