According to court documents acquired by RadarOnline.com, the lawsuit filed against American singer Trey Songz by two women who alleged sexual assault at his Bell Canyon residence during a 2015 party has been dropped.

George Vrabeck, the lawyer representing the accusers under the pseudonyms Jane Doe A and Jane Doe B, stated that he was dismissing the complaint without prejudice.

The dismissal “without prejudice” indicates that the case could potentially be refiled at a later time.

Filed in October 2023, the lawsuit alleged that the women lost consciousness at Songz’s house party and later found him engaging in non-consensual sexual activity with them, accusing him of both sexual assault and battery.

The women recounted meeting Songz at one of his concerts in 2015 and maintaining communication thereafter, leading to an invitation to his home in August for his birthday celebration.

Upon arrival, they asserted they were instructed to surrender their phones and were then coerced into consuming alcohol from unsealed bottles.

Despite consuming only moderate amounts, the women claimed they quickly felt severely intoxicated.

They further alleged that Songz escorted them to an upstairs bedroom where they lost consciousness while fully clothed.

Doe A and Doe B recounted awakening to find Songz undressed and engaging in non-consensual sexual activity with them.

One of the victims asserted she attempted to resist Songz’s advances, but he persisted.

Following the incident, the women claimed Songz insisted they shower together, a request they refused, allegedly leading to Songz becoming upset and subsequently ejecting them from his residence.

The lawsuit sought unspecified damages.

At the time, Songz’s attorney, Michael Freedman, stated,

“This is another instance of decade-old accusations being resurrected to exploit California’s questionably constitutional new retrospective window. We anticipate vindicating Trey in court based on the merits.”

This development follows a significant legal victory for Songz a month earlier, when a federal judge dismissed a separate $10 million lawsuit.

In that case, a woman accused Songz of exposing her to a crowd by pulling down her bikini top at a pool party.

Songz argued that the lawsuit was filed well beyond the statute of limitations, a contention the judge upheld.
