This visit, upon the invitation of His Highness, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, aims to enhance cooperation between the two nations in various sectors such as security, cultural exchange, and economic development.

In a statement issued by Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, it was announced that President Bola Tinubu will embark on a two-day official visit to the State of Qatar on Thursday, February 29, 2024, upon the invitation of His Highness, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

The purpose of the visit is to enhance cooperation between the two nations in various sectors, including security, cultural exchange, and economic development.

During the visit, President Tinubu will witness the signing of several agreements aimed at bolstering Nigeria’s real sector and fostering value-additive investments in trade, education, culture, solid minerals, digital economy, agriculture, gas, and counter-terrorism cooperation.

Additionally, the President will partake in a business and investment forum, facilitating discussions between top-level executives from both Nigeria and Qatar to explore cross-sectoral opportunities for mutual growth and development.

Senior government officials will accompany the President for the signing of these agreements.
