Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has conveyed his unwavering trust in his Chief of Staff, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.

The President made this statement on Monday, just before the start of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chambers in the State House, Abuja.

Furthermore, President Tinubu addressed certain concerns he had regarding unauthorized individuals gaining access to the State House’s Council Chambers. He also outlined the meeting’s attendance guidelines.

He Said: “First of all, let me reiterate to all of you the fact that a lot of stories are going around about what is happening. I’ve told everyone in this country that I can make mistakes, they’re bound to air them out and correct them.

“Perfection is that of God almighty. I have absolute confidence on the integrity of my Chief of Staff. All campaigns of calumny and insinuations should stop, the buck stops here.

“If I make mistake I’m ready to own up to it and we’re all joining hands to fight corruption and we want to enforce the law along with you”.

In the meantime, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) observed a moment of silence to pay tribute to a former Council member and former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Alhaji Adamu Fika, who passed away last week at the age of 90.

The Council meeting is currently underway and has in attendance the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr (Mrs) Folasade Yemi-Esan; the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; and nearly all the ministers.

Additional information will be provided at a later time.
