Iran Issues Warning of Potential Involvement in Ongoing Conflict Over Israel’s Actions in Gaza.

Iran’s President, Ebrahim Raisi.

Iran has cautioned that it could find itself compelled to join the ongoing conflict, citing Israel’s alleged violation of red lines through its bombardment of Gaza.

Iran’s President, Ebrahim Raisi, expressed that Israel’s bombardment of Gaza had breached established boundaries, potentially necessitating collective action by all parties.

In a message posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, Raisi stated, “Zionist regime’s crimes have crossed the red lines, which may force everyone to take action. Washington asks us to not do anything, but they keep giving widespread support to Israel. The US sent messages to the Axis of Resistance but received a clear response on the battlefield.”

Raisi also asserted that Israeli forces, which had entered Gaza, were claimed to have been ‘defeated’ and subsequently compelled to withdraw. However, there was no such withdrawal, and clashes continued to escalate yesterday.

Iran’s self-styled Axis of Resistance comprises several militant groups that it provides funding and control over, including Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

This comes days after the militant group released a photograph showing its secretary-general, Hassan Nasrallah, meeting with leaders of Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

It said they had assessed ‘the international positions being taken’ and discussed ‘what the parties of the Axis of Resistance must do to realise a real victory for the resistance in Gaza and Palestine.
