According to an unnamed local source, the hoodlums initially abducted about five individuals on the farm, including the owner.

According to the source, the hoodlums, having carried out the attack without any obstacles, reportedly took the five individuals to a forest and confiscated their mobile phones.

The source further mentioned that after a few hours, the hoodlums allegedly released the farm owner and one other person, while retaining custody of the three remaining victims.

Confirming the attack on Monday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, conveyed that the incident was being treated as a kidnapping case.

She mentioned that they caught two suspects linked to the crime and are working hard to save the others.

She also shared that the police and local hunters are searching the forest to catch the suspects and free the victims.

According to her, “There were five of them that were kidnapped at the farm, but two were later released. They were the ones that identified them as suspects. The driver who came to take some eggs, one female worker, and one other are believed to be victims.

“The two victims that were released have identified the two suspects we arrested after our men, in collaboration with local hunters and other security agencies, combed the bush.”
