The Borno Commissioner passed away a month after miraculously surviving an accident in the governor’s convoy.

Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Resettlement (RRR) in Borno State, Engr Ibrahim Idriss Garba, has passed away a month following his miraculous survival of an accident. It is reported that he passed away on the evening of Friday, October 20.

“Governor Babagana Umara Zulum received the news with intense shock and profound grief. The Governor mourns alongside the late commissioner’s family, other loved ones, friends, associates, and members of the state executive council.” Gusau stated.

He further stated; “Late Engr Ibrahim Idriss Garba was the Governor’s Special Adviser on Special Projects before he was elevated and appointed commissioner of RRR, at the commencement of Zulum’s ongoing second term.

“May Allah forgive the commissioner’s shortcomings and admit him into Aljanna.”

Only a month ago, the deceased miraculously survived an accident while traveling with Governor Zulum’s convoy during a week-long tour in southern Borno.
