Sokoto State House of Representatives Member Representing Isa-Sabon Birni Federal Constituency in the Lower Chamber, Abdulkadir Jelani Danbuga, Passes Away
A first-time House member, he had been elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to a DailyTrust report, the legislator passed away at 12:30 am on Wednesday, October 11, following a short illness.
He fell ill on Tuesday and was subsequently admitted to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
The legislator’s remains have been transported to Sokoto for a burial in accordance with Islamic customs.
Hon. Akin Rotimi, the House Spokesperson, has verified the incident and announced that the lawmaker’s passing was conveyed on the legislative platform earlier today.
He mentioned that a formal statement regarding the incident will be issued shortly.
