Sierra Leone Police apprehend Killaboi, the Nigerian man who was sought for the alleged murder of his girlfriend.

The Lagos State Police Command, on October 11, issued a wanted notice for Benjamin Nnanyereugo in connection with the demise of Augusta Osedion, his girlfriend.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, has verified that Benjamin Nnanyereugo, also known as Killaboi, a Nigerian man, has been apprehended in Sierra Leone.

He was detained by the Sierra Leone Police Force on suspicion of being involved in his girlfriend’s death.

According to report, Hundeyin stated that Nnanyereugo’s arrest had been confirmed by the Nigeria Police.

“He was arrested by the Sierra Leonan Police Forice and we are working on extraditing him to Nigeria.

On October 11, the Lagos State Police Command issued a warrant for the apprehension of Benjamin Nnanyereugo in connection with the demise of his girlfriend, Augusta Osedion. As per a statement released by their spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, the police believe that Nnanyereugo is a suspect in the murder of the 21-year-old woman, which occurred on July 13, 2023, at his residence in Oral Estate, Ajah.
A portion of the statement stated,

Following the exhaustion of all available options to bring him in, he is declared wanted.

The suspect is 26 years old, approximately 5’9 ft tall and hails from Abia State. He is dark in complexion and speaks English, Igbo and pidgin English fluently.

“If seen, please contact the nearest police station or call 0803 688 5727.”

As per the reports, Killaboi adopted the name Kanu Princeton Samuel and reportedly paid $25,000 to acquire a Sierra Leonean passport using this new identity.
