Sevilla Joins FC Barcelona in Bidding for Wilfred Ndidi.

Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.

The free transfer of Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is reportedly up for grabs between Spanish La Liga teams Barcelona and Sevilla in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Sevilla, who are rebuilding their midfield after loaning Boubakary Soumare from Leicester City, is in desperate need of Wilfred Ndidi.

The Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo claims that in order for Ndidi to complete his transfer to Sevilla next summer, he will need to accept a sizable pay cut.

Since he and Leicester City have not yet reached an agreement on a new contract, Ndidi, 26, is anticipated to depart the Foxes when his current one expires.

After failing to secure a move away in the summer, many football enthusiasts feel that he is too good to play in the English football league’s second tier, the Championship.

This season, the Nigerian international has participated in twelve Championship games. This season, he has also participated in three Carabao Cup games.

After leaving Genk in 2017 to sign a £14 million contract with Leicester City, he has participated in 252 Premier League and Europa League games.

Ndidi is reportedly being pursued by Atletico, Juventus, Bayern, and Sevilla in addition to FC Barcelona. Therefore, there is a very good chance that the Nigerian midfielder will leave Leicester City in the summer.
