Ritualists ploughs out young boys eyes in bauchi

In the Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State, suspected ritualists have brutally removed the eyes of a young boy.

Details about the incident remain unclear at this time, but it’s reported that the victim was tending to animals in the bush when he was ambushed by unknown attackers who forcefully gouged out his eyes.

The boy is currently receiving treatment at a specialized hospital in Gombe State.

Furthermore, it has been reported that the suspects involved in the attack have been apprehended.

Emmanuel Phillip Tumba, a media aide to the Adamawa State Governor, confirmed the incident via a Facebook post on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, describing the assault as an unimaginably cruel act of violence.

In a statement, he described a disturbing incident in Alkaleri LGA of Bauchi State, wherein a young boy, while tending to his flock, was viciously attacked by a gang of ritualists who gruesomely gouged out his eyes and left him abandoned in the wilderness.

The individuals responsible for this despicable act have been apprehended and are currently under the custody of law enforcement. It is essential that these malicious individuals face the most severe penalties under the legal system without any leniency.
