During a visit to the Hideaway Youth Project in Manchester, England, this week, an 11-year-old boy named Amir Hassan inquired about UK Prince William’s financial status, posing the question, “How much do you have in your bank account?”

The future king burst into laughter, taken aback by the question, and confessed that he “didn’t know.”
While William visited, the children were engaged in an art project that included cutting out empowering hairstyles from magazines. Reportedly, the children invited William to participate in the activity.

“I’m literally the last person you should ask,” William joked back. “My hair is disappearing.”

As per protocol, members of the royal family are advised not to carry cash for security reasons. However, Queen Elizabeth II was recognized for having bills in her purse on Sundays for church donations.

Upon King Charles’s accession to the throne, William inherited the Duchy of Cornwall, valued at approximately $1.3 billion.

Established by King Edward III in 1337, the Duchy, consisting of farmland, property, and commercial enterprises, was designed to generate income for the heir to the throne.

“I’ve started to think about how I will inherit the Duchy one day,” William told farmers in the documentary “Prince Charles: Inside the Duchy of Cornwall.” “Well, rest assured I’m not going to rock the boat; I’ll do much the same as what my father’s doing. I’m not so into the architecture — that’s the only thing.”
