President Bola Tinubu acknowledged the intense suffering and hardship experienced by Nigerians as a result of his administration’s policy decisions.
He made these remarks during a visit to the residence of Reuben Fasoranti, a prominent leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, on Wednesday, February 28th.
According to Dare Ajayi, the spokesperson of Afenifere, President Tinubu expressed his acknowledgment of the hardships faced by Nigerians.
He conveyed his appreciation for the difficulties being endured and expressed confidence that Nigeria would soon overcome them.
Tinubu emphasized that the government’s current policies would ultimately yield positive solutions to these challenges.
As per the statement, President Tinubu emphasized that Nigeria’s economic challenges would be alleviated once the country undergoes proper restructuring.
He underscored his understanding of the situation upon assuming office, highlighting his efforts to fulfill his responsibilities diligently.
Tinubu reassured Nigerians that he is committed to establishing enduring structures that will withstand the test of time.
He affirmed that the economic, social, and political frameworks being implemented will restore Nigeria to its rightful position.
Regarding the repayment of loans, Tinubu assured that Nigeria is diligently managing its debts and will settle them at the earliest opportunity.
Addressing the issue of restructuring, he acknowledged its necessity but stressed the importance of laying a solid foundation first to prevent premature collapse.
Tinubu emphasized the need for cautious implementation to ensure the sustainability of any restructuring efforts.
In response, Pa Fasoranti praised Tinubu’s performance in office, stating that it reflects his profound understanding of the mandate bestowed upon him by the electorate.
