Nasarawa Police Neutralize Suspected Robber, Arrest Accomplice in Mararaba
The Nasarawa State Police Command reports the neutralization of suspected armed robber Ifeanyichukwu Ilegalu in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area, during a robbery.
According to DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer, Edache Joseph, an accomplice, was also apprehended.
This action follows the state Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada’s initiative to strengthen community policing in Maraba, where recent robbery incidents occurred.
After receiving reports of a gang of 8 armed robbers attacking residents of Aso pada, Mararaba area on April 5, police, vigilantes, and courageous community members swiftly responded, resulting in the death of one suspect and the arrest of another.
The arrested suspect is cooperating with the investigation, and CP Nadada commended the bravery of the operatives, vigilantes, and community members, urging continued cooperation to combat crime in the state.”
