Despite the absence of a caption from the actress, numerous individuals speculated that the mother of one might be engaged and shared their congratulations in the comment section.
As a reminder, Lilian Esoro was previously wed to talent manager Ubi Franklin. Their marriage took place in 2015, but it only lasted a year after they welcomed their son.
Lilian initially sought a divorce in a Lagos High Court, which was denied, and later, Ubi filed for divorce in Abuja, where it was granted.
The couple’s legal journey extended over several years, with reports suggesting that the presiding judge dismissed their case, deeming the reasons for their divorce invalid.
Nonetheless, as per information gathered by Kemi Filani, the actress’ marriage was officially dissolved on Thursday, January 28th, 2021, at an Abuja High Court.
Ubi Franklin took to Instagram to address their divorce in a mature manner, indirectly shedding light on the issues that plagued their marriage. He emphasized that when a relationship lacks love, it often leads to grudges, resentment, hate, and a general sense of disliking one another.
During an interview with Toke Makinwa, Lilian candidly shared that her marriage had been unstable right from the engagement stage.
Despite the warnings from others that she shouldn’t proceed with the wedding, she expressed no regrets, as her son was the beautiful outcome of that union.
Lilian reflected on how people today often prioritize their phones over meaningful conversations, which, in her view, contributes to the challenges in marriages.
She also admitted that the divorce took a toll on her, leading to a period of depression during which she sought help. Nevertheless, she has now embarked on a journey of healing and is open to the prospect of a new relationship.
