In Edo State, they arrested a 22-year-old boy traveling from Lagos to Anambra with a gun and a POS machine.

The Edo police command arrested 22-year-old Francis Okoye Obinna, traveling from Lagos to Anambra, on April 7, after allegedly finding a gun and a POS in his possession.

According to the command’s statement, a Brownie Pistol with breach No. PZ1833, 9 rounds of 6mm ammunition, and a POS Machine were discovered during a stop and search.

Obinna confessed that he was given the gun by a man named Emma in Lagos to threaten someone named Mr. Paul Okoye, who he claimed killed his father in Anambra with a charm.

However, investigations revealed that Obinna’s statement was false after authorities traveled to Lagos to verify his claims.

The investigation continues to determine how Obinna acquired the gun and the POS machine, as well as their intended use.
