In an official statement issued by the police spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, it was revealed that Jerry Okoye and Ifeanyi Nwosu, residents of Panasonic Estate in Idu, Abuja, have confessed to engaging in computer-related fraud, specifically romance scams and identity theft.

Compelling evidence retrieved from their electronic devices has unveiled the extent of their criminal activities.”

In a recent development, Jerry Okoye, a former student of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), asserted his involvement in the music industry since 2016 and his ownership of a public relations company.

Surprisingly, he admitted to engaging in fraudulent activities dating back to 2014, primarily on Facebook. The investigation revealed substantial evidence tying him to fraud and romance scams that have persisted to the present day.

Additionally, Ifeanyi Nwosu, a close associate of Jerry Okoye who was apprehended alongside him, initially claimed his visit to Jerry’s residence was for music recording purposes.

However, he later confessed to having a unique connection with a 69-year-old white woman named Winnie. According to Nwosu, Winnie was not just a fan but also a friend.

Shockingly, evidence has emerged suggesting a series of monetary transactions between Nwosu and the elderly woman, indicating a relationship that goes beyond casual friendship, as stated in the official statement.
