Dele Momodu, a prominent figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has explained the party’s inaction towards Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike.
Momodu mentioned that Wike’s ambition is to hold sway in two political parties, driven by the vast resources at his disposal.
The experienced journalist made these remarks on Wednesday in response to an online commenter who questioned the PDP’s lack of response regarding Wike.
Suggested that the PDP should have taken a bold step against Wike.
he X user TENIBEGILOJU202 posted: “PDP is the most useless party in the world! Rather than take a bold step on Wike, they sent PDP governors to beg him! I am beginning to think dat there is big secret that Wike has against PDP leaders dat made him untouchable. @BwalaDaniel @DeleMomodu you don’t belong in dat party.”
Nevertheless, Momodu clarified that the PDP must handle Wike’s situation with wisdom and tact.
He pointed out that Wike’s substantial resources create a challenging scenario for many politicians, making it hard for them to distance themselves from him.
Momodu wrote, “When a tsetse fly perches piercingly on your testicle, you require all the skills and wisdom to get rid of it. The extraordinary resources available to NYESOM WIKE, courtesy of PDP, ironically, are so humongous, and irresistible to most Nigerian politicians, the reason he wants to be king in two political parties, simultaneously‼”
During the 2023 presidential election, Wike, a PDP member, had acted against the interests of the party.
