EFCC Complies with Directive and Presents Emefiele in Court.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has adhered to the court’s directive, ensuring the appearance of the former Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, in court for the consideration of his bail application.

After being in the custody of security agencies for more than 149 days, Justice Olukayode Adeniyi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court ordered the unconditional release of Emefiele or his presence in court to address his bail application.

Adorned in a yellow Kaftan and a cap, accompanied by EFCC agents, the ex-CBN Governor made his way to the courtroom around 12:30 pm.

On Monday, Justice Adeniyi reiterated his directive that the incarcerated former CBN Governor should appear in court on November 8 for the purpose of considering his bail application.
