DJ Switch arrested by the Lagos police

DJ Switch, also known as Obianuju Catherine Udeh, has been arrested by the police in Lagos and is presently being escorted to the magistrate court in Eti Osa.

As per information from a police source speaking to LIB, DJ Switch went to the police in Elemoro, Ajah, on Monday, April 15, to report a man who allegedly defrauded her. The police subsequently arrested the man on the same day, and he has since remained in police custody.

According to a police source speaking to LIB, DJ Switch was summoned on Wednesday, April 17, to determine her preference regarding the suspect’s legal status—whether to press charges or secure his release on bail, given the legal limit of 48 hours for detention.

Despite this, DJ Switch insisted solely on obtaining a recorded apology from the accused to be posted online, which he adamantly refused. Consequently, since neither party compromised, the police opted to escalate the matter to court.

As the officers prepared to transport the accused to court, DJ Switch reportedly used her vehicle to block the station’s exit and allegedly assaulted the female officers involved in the case.

Consequently, she was arrested on charges of obstructing police duties, resisting arrest, and assaulting officers. The accused was also brought before the court and remanded in prison custody.

DJ Switch is currently en route to the Magistrate Court in Eti-Osa, where she faces charges of obstructing police duties, resisting arrest, and assaulting officers.
