Customs, Falcons, Braves, Hoopers in NBBF Final 8 semis



The stage is set for the semifinal of the Nigeria Basketball Federation Final 8 with Nigeria Customs, Kwara Falcons, Benue Braves and Rivers Hoopers making the cut for the showdown on Friday (today) at the National Stadium, Surulre, Lagos.

2018 finalists, Kwara Falcons will face Benue Braves in the first semifinal, while Nigeria Customs and Rivers Hoopers will slug it out in the second semifinal.

The four clubs emerged from a keen conference battle, as two of the semifinalists sealed their berths on the last matchday of the conference games.

Nigeria Customs led the pack in the Savanna Conference with a 44 points difference to Benue Braves 24 who finished second.

Kano Pillars and Gombe Bulls, surprisingly fell short in that group.

In the Atlantic Conference, Kwara Falcons led the way with 16 points difference, while Rivers Hoopers followed them no thanks to a -1 PD. Police batons and Lagos Islanders were third and fourth.

The first semifinal between Kwara Falcons and Benue Braves will tip off by 2pm while the game between Nigeria Customs and Rivers Hoopers will follow by 4pm.
