AY confirmed the separation in a post on his Instagram page, explaining that he had reached a point where he could no longer discuss deeply personal family matters publicly. He emphasized the importance of distinguishing between opinions, values, beliefs, and facts, stating that staying silent doesn’t indicate weakness in dealing with issues.
“I have come to a stage in my life where I cannot share deep personal family issues with the public.
They may be too overwhelming for those involved, especially considering that my grown-up daughter has access to social media. It’s essential to protect her mental health from witnessing things she may not be proud of online.
“Yes, it’s true that without compromising my family, I’ve found myself involved in actions I’m not proud of.
It’s difficult to watch my 20-year friendship/marriage slip away, but it’s even harder for the parties involved to understand how to assign blame in a society where women are often portrayed as victims. I can tell you that nobody is entirely innocent enough to throw stones.
Right now, I’m witnessing how lies about me spread faster in blogs than the truth. But I believe that eventually, my painful truth will prevail over all the falsehoods.”
In a recent Instagram post, Mabel revealed her new approach to handling disrespect. She stated, “Distance is my new response to disrespect. I don’t react, I don’t argue.
I don’t dive into the drama. I just remove myself.” Ayo and Mabel tied the knot in November 2008 and have two children together.
