Abuja experiences a blackout due to a malfunctioning 33kV feeder.


Parts of Abuja are currently facing a power outage due to a technical issue with its 33-kilovolt feeder in the Central Area of the nation’s capital.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has officially announced this through its X account. Affected areas include Dakibiyu, Kado Estate, sections of Life Camp, Efab Estate Life Camp, and surrounding areas.

AEDC has assured that its technical team is actively working to restore power to the affected areas.

The company released a statement apologizing for any inconvenience caused and expressing gratitude for customers’ patience during this period.

Furthermore, AEDC has reported the restoration of power supply to areas including Kapwa Village, Kapwa Ruga, Legislative Institute, Piwoyi Village, and the vicinity behind Dunamis in Abuja.
