Singer Yemi Alade has responded to a report that she was forced to marry.
In a recent interview, Yemi stated that she does not feel pressured to marry, despite the fact that there is always a rush to marry at the end of the year.
“People frequently get married, especially near the end of the year,” Yemi explained. I’m not under any duress. It will happen when the moment is right.
“Family pressure is a difficult thing to resist because it comes from people you respect and look up to, insisting that you get married,” she advised. However, I feel that if they truly care about your best interests, they will be patient with you because choosing the proper partner is more important than simply getting married.
“But beyond that, I don’t think anyone should rush into making the wrong decision of being with the wrong partner.”
