President Bola Tinubu has praised the Super Eagles for their triumph in the AFCON semi-finals, expressing to the national senior soccer team “Your accomplishment fills all Nigerians with pride!”
President Tinubu, in a tweet from his verified X handle on Wednesday night, encouraged the team to continue bringing honor to the nation.
In his message, he wrote:
“From the southernmost cape of Africa to the plains of Mauritania and the West African coast… You have filled us all with pride as Nigerians!”
“Go ahead and soar in the AFCON Finals, boys! Well done!”
The Super Eagles are vying for their fourth AFCON title, having emerged victorious in the 1980, 1994, and 2013 editions of Africa’s premier soccer tournament.
