On Wednesday, Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, conveyed his confidence that the ongoing political dispute between him and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, will find a resolution.

He mentioned that it’s not uncommon for a father and son to encounter difficulties, emphasizing that any existing issues will be addressed. The governor made these remarks during a visit to the Government House in Port Harcourt, the state capital, by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, along with a military delegation.

Fubara reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in the country, particularly during the upcoming off-season elections this month.

“For our dear state, I know everybody is wondering what’s going on, what’s not going on. We are okay, there is no problem,” the Governor said.

“If we have an internal issue, it will be resolved and everything will go back to normal.

“There is nothing wrong if a father and a son have a problem, if there is any problem, but I don’t think there is anything, whatever it is, we will definitely resolve the issue.”
