The EFCC reports that Abuja American School has refunded $760k in fees paid by Yahaya Bello’s children.

The EFCC reports that the American International School Abuja (AISA) has reimbursed the fees paid by former Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello, for his children’s education at the school.

Chairman of EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, disclosed during a press briefing in Abuja that Bello paid $760,910 in advance from the Kogi state government’s funds for his five children’s education.

Following this revelation, AISA pledged to refund the fees to the EFCC.

Responding to the EFCC’s letter, AISA stated that $845,852 had been paid in tuition from September 7, 2021, to the present date. However, after deducting educational services rendered, the sum to be refunded is $760,910.

EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the reimbursement, stating, “The money has been paid into the public account.”
