Redeemed Pastor Ghandi
On Wednesday, October 25, the Oyo State High Court in Ogbomoso overturned the installation of Oba Ghandi Olaoye as the new Soun of Ogbomoso.
Earlier, on September 8, 2023, the Oyo State Government declared Redeemed Pastor Ghandi Olaoye as the new Soun, officially crowning him as king.
However, prior to this, Kabir Laoye, one of the contenders, had filed a lawsuit against Ghandi Olaoye, asserting his ineligibility for the Soun’s role.
As a result of the court’s decision, the Oyo State government was instructed not to appoint anyone to the position until the court’s judgment is delivered.
