Student at Plateau University killed by armed men shortly after praying for protection from gunshots

Suspected Fulani militias killed Dading James Jordan, a 200-level Computer Science student at Plateau State University in Bokkos Local Government Area. The attack in the neighboring community of Chikam on Thursday night also claimed the lives of two others.

Hours after posting a prayer for protection from gunshots, the student was tragically murdered. Meanwhile, his colleagues and friends have expressed their grief on social media.

Upon trying to contact his friend, James Dading, who was studying at PLASU in Chikam, he discovered that James had been shot dead by the attackers the previous night.

Masok expressed disbelief until he received confirmation and saw James’ body online.

He reminisced about their last meeting and their discussions about the insecurity in the area, with James mentioning the constant gunshots.

Masok highlighted James’ intelligence, vision, and positive impact on others, as well as their shared memories and James’ assistance to him.

He concluded with a heartfelt farewell, expressing deep sorrow over the loss and confidence that justice will prevail for James’ killers.
